Seeing spots....

Well, I bit the bullet and went with the spots!

I am really happy with it.!

A mug rug in the process made from the salvages of the fabrics used .

And here is one I made earlier- finally quilted and bound! This is my first hand quilting attempt, using a lovely pattern from Moda.

The fabrics are Mama Said Sew, and I used a charm pack plus plain white.

What will my next project be??????

    1. Thanks Linda , I cant wait to get it backed and bound!
Yes, the mat is sewn straight onto wadding, then I back and bind it. I love this method for small projects and using scraps, it is soooo quick!

  3. Yay! You went with the spots! Hurrah! I think it looks great, and much brighter than had you gone with the grey. And oooh I love that small Moda little houses quilt - I really love the kinda subdued shades of the fabrics...I'm a strange person who sometimes loves bright but then just needs some quiet some of the time.

I am finishing an applique pillow for my granddaughter while I am 'down under' and have just promised to repair middle grandson's school back-pack, so I am getting plenty of stitching in! Lxxx

  4. I am strange like you- I can go from one extreme to the other, but overall I do love bright colour. I am thrilled with the little house quilt- not sure where to put it so its on the pile - mind you that looks cool too!

Hope you are having a brilliant time with the family- you are certainly not missing anything here!
